This has gotta be the good life…

Welcome to Virginia Beach! This past weekend I took a mini-vaca with Sarah to VB where Harris lives. After a 4-hour road trip filled with sweet tunes (and snacks) we arrived. It’s been almost a year since I’ve seen him and it was so good to be reunited!

We've only known each other since birth πŸ™‚

We spent the day at the beach on Saturday with perfect weather. Then for dinner, Harris’s parents cooked up a fabulous paella since Harris and his brother Jeremy will be living and teaching English in Spain for a year starting in the fall! Of course, we needed something to drink with the paella… so Harris mixed up some sangria- yum!

The finished product! Paella with chicken, shrimp, lobster tail, clams, sausage, etc!

Day #2 at the beach was filled with perfect weather again- clear skies, sun, and a light breeze.

A healthy salad lunch on the beach

Before we got back on the road, we stopped at a frozen yogurt place Harris had highly recommended– The Skinny Dip. Definitely the best froyo flavors and toppings I’ve seen!

There is froyo under there somewhere...

What a fun weekend! Thanks Harris for being such a great host πŸ™‚ I wanna go back to the beach now please!! But at least the weather in DC seems bearable this week. Regardless, I’d better start planning the next beach trip now so I have something to look forward to…
